Become a Climate Ambassador for a local school

Climate Ambassadors (London)
Climate Ambassadors support education settings to create and implement a climate action plan. Volunteers will be paired with a school, and meet with the school’s sustainability lead several times over a few months. Through a six-step process, you can help the school’s sustainability lead to identify potential leverage points, strategies for creating a whole school buy-in, and specific actions that can be taken within the education setting. Volunteers can also arrange one-off visits to schools and run sessions/ present on relevant sustainability topics that interest them.
What skills do I need?
Basic project management skills, as well as the ability to facilitate conversation with school staff are an asset for this role. Free training is provided to all volunteers to ensure you will be equipped to visit schools.
No specific expertise or experience in climate change/ sustainability is needed for this role, although this is of course welcome.

Availability details
This is a highly flexible role designed to fit around your schedule. There is no specific time of the week, you can decide when to meet with the school(s) you support. We recommend allowing approx. 2 hours per month for this role.
