Volunteer drivers are urgently needed to provide  safe, comfortable and reliable transport to vital medical appointments for families with a seriously ill child living in the local area.

Most families do not have their own means of transport and when children are sick, or immunosuppressed, public transport is simply not an option.

Families in your area may require transport on a a regular or adhoc basis to hospitals including  Great Ormond Street Hospital, University College Hospital, Mount Vernon and Hillingdon Hospital.

 You may also be asked to provide transport for the family to support groups and activities.

What skills do I need?

• A Confident, calm and patient driver
• Experience of interacting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
• Empathise with families in stressful circumstances
• You must be over 21, have a full driving licence  for a minimum of 2 years, and use of your own vehicle required Provide documentation of MOT, insurance certificate and driving license,
• A dedicated member of Rainbow Trust staff will guide and support you in your work
• You will receive a full induction to the charity and a programme of training relevant to your role, to help you get the most from your time with us
