We are seeking volunteers with video editing skills or media experience to teach participants how to edit videos using library equipment. Role Responsibilities:

  • Arrive at the library to lead video editing sessions using library equipment.
  • Teach participants how to use cameras and video editing software.
  • Develop lesson plans as the club grows in popularity (initial sessions may focus on participants’ individual projects, such as editing holiday videos or creating social media content).
  • Work with participants of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Schedule sessions at a regular day and time convenient for you (to be discussed during the interview).

Conduct sessions lasting at least one hour

  • Experience in video production, including camera operation and composition.
  • Proficiency with video editing software.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
  • Confidence speaking to groups.
  • Patience, positivity, and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
