If you have some time to spare and passionate about helping to elevate the profile of local Hospital in your community then this could be the perfect flexible role for you. Volunteer Ambassadors to assist them with outreach and raising awareness of the organisation.  Tasks:  helping out with information stand, visiting other organisation and raising our profile; attending health and information days; and distributing leaflet and flyers in the community.

 

How you could help 

·                  share our appeals and event promotion with contacts and online networks to raise awareness of the charity, encouraging fundraising and broader support. 

·                  act as a volunteer representative for the charity at community events e.g., accepting a cheque on our behalf or giving a brief talk, if this is something you would be comfortable doing. We can provide full training to support you. 

·                  offer advice and expertise on your local area and networks to help us to raise our profile and go further to support our hospitals. You might be able to make introductions to others who would be interested in supporting us. 

·                  raise the Royal Free Charity profile and funds in own local area/hospital by placing posters related to specific appeals/events, or by placing collection tins in local businesses. 

 

You may also be interested in organising your own fundraising events, and you would have the full support of our fundraising team if this is something you would like to do.  

This role covers the local community surrounding Barnet, Chase Farm and the Royal Free Hospital. Opportunities arise at various locations near the hospitals. 

What skills do I need?

Passion for helping to support the Royal Free London NHS Trust via helping to raise awareness of the Royal Free Charity

Desirable:

–        Network of people, groups or local businesses which you can connect us with

–        Public speaking/presenting

–        Fundraising/event planning

–   Local knowledge
